A sports question - which is unusal from me as I detest most forms of sport ?

Someone professional sportsman or woman come to that doing for the sake of argument the 100 metres sprint - they keep shaving off 100th of a second here and there in this games or that and creating new world records and if you disregard time travel and any given sports star arriving before they've started - what does science perceive is the absolute shortest time a human being can run the 100 metres in. We can't run as fast as a cheetah - so where between us and a cheetah is the boundary between what we can and can't do - I know science has pondered on this - what is the generally agreed or even disagreed scientific answer for this question please - whether it be the 100 metres in terms of time or throwing the javelin in terms of distance, or whatever sport - what is the equation they use to arrive at this absolute - as I can't see how there can be anything other than an absolute to this question somewhere down the line; and I'm talking without any drug enhancements aswell please ?
